Dating Tips

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

Over the last 10 years or so I have become very close to guy you might have heard of, George Clooney. He came to me to get advice on how to succeed on a date with a girl. Now succeeding on a date has a different term for everyone, to me, for example, it is getting to know someone on an intellectual level and being able to add a friend that will be in my life for years to come. Of course the world is not as perfect and I have heard of guys that consider succeeding on a date bringing the girl back to their place or seeing her naked the first night and it definitely saddens me to think their are people that shallow in this world. After helping GC (It is the nickname us friends of his have for him) I realized I just might be able to help out others and bring more happiness to the world.

When your on a date there are some pretty simple things you can do to make sure it succeeds and moves on to whatever you want it to…here are the 3 keys of making your date go so well that even someone as average as you has a chance on the first night.

Step 1….Location

Always let her pick three places where she wants to go on the date. The main reason for this is out of the three there should be one that is the least lame, however if it completely blows you can blame her and make her fell so bad she will go home with you just to make up for it…if thats something you would want. Make sure you keep the bar as low as possible…meaning start as cheap as possible. If you want to spend a lot of money to impress a girl there are way better ways for you to spend your money…a prostitute is a 100% guarantee.

Step 2….Conversation

This is the easiest part of a date, girls will talk and talk about all the crap you don’t want to here about for majority of the night. On an average date this leaves you with one or two stories to tell to impress her…I know what your thinking…”But Jonathan, I don’t have amazing stories to tell like you do.” Trust me…I knew this already. I will let you borrow one of my true life stories that I tell sometimes on dates….I will not give you an amazing story or anything like that because you aren’t good enough to pull it off, but I will give you an average story that will pass the time when it is you turn to speak. Before using this story I do suggest you send a picture and name of your date just to make sure she hasn’t heard it before from me….and yes even if it is your girlfriend or wife you should also send me it…just to make sure. This is a quick (because when with a girl you don’t have much time to talk) true story that happened….

I once got into a fight with a one-armed Ninja. Seeing that he had an unfair advantage, I ripped both of my arms off and one of my legs. I then roundhouse-kicked the ninja in the head, killing him instantly, and proceeded to sow my limbs back on using only a rusty tent spike and bailing wire.

Step 3….Closing

My closing is simple……”Come on. We’re leaving and going to my house.” but lets be honest…you are not me.

Now I know some of us don’t need to worry about this part…. but I also know that all my readers do, so I will make it very simple for you and give you a couple lines that should work at the end of the night…

If she asks “What are you doing the rest of the night?” ….Your response….”You are on the top of my to-do list”

At the end of the night when you get the change from dinner, grab a quarter and say…”If I flip a coin what do you reckon the chances are of me getting head?”

A very simple one…”How would you like my butler to make your eggs in the morning?”

Give her a nice compliment on her clothes…”That dress looks amazing, we should definitely hang that up instead of throwing it on the floor.”

These are just some examples of nice ways to close out a date.

Try these tips and I give you a 100% guarantee* that they will work.

*If it doesn’t work chances are you are a loser and even God couldn’t increase your odds.

Collagen Supplements – the Naked Facts of an Ugly Scam Revealed!

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

Collagen Supplements are consumed by a lot of people to strengthen bones and tendons, while there are others who are consuming them to regain youthful skin. But are they living under a false mirage that these collagen supplements are doing them any good? Let us look at the naked facts of an ugly scam going on in the name of collagen supplements. The first question to ask is – Do collagen supplements work? We all are aware of the fact that the Collagen protein plays a vital role in our skin health and keeps our skin firm, supple, smooth and elastic. So, does it make any sense in consuming collagen supplements for the purpose of skin anti aging? The answer for the above question is a big – NO. The reason that collagen supplements do not work as desired by us is that the collagen found in collagen supplements and collagen pills is unable to assimilate itself in the complex matrix of collagen that is present in our body. And when we talk about collagen in Collagen based skincare creams, the reason is the same. Scientific evidence has proven that the collagen molecule found in collagen based skin creams is too big to penetrate the skin. It is prevented from entering the skin right at the uppermost layer of our skin called Epidermis. So, what else to say about the deeper skin layers! So, you might end up wasting lots of your precious time and money on rubbing collagen based skin anti aging creams, but it will end up in vain without bearing any positive results. You can cross check these hardcore scientific facts by consulting a dermatologist or by visiting any reputable medical website. Then what is the effective substitute for collagen supplements? How can you achieve the young and vibrant skin? After a lot of research of various skincare and anti aging products, I found out that the key to achieving natural young skin lies not in taking collagen supplements, but in such natural substances that are scientifically proven effective in enhancing the collagen production of my own body. This way the purpose of taking collagen supplements is achieved naturally and the skin is able to rejuvenate itself on its own renewed production of collagen. It is really a pity to see millions of dollars of hard earned consumer’s money going into the pockets of unscrouplous collagen supplement manufacturers. All this is happening because the consumers did not do their adequate research on the scientific reality of these collagen supplements.Visit my website for an in depth research on natural substances that have proven themselves very effective in anti aging and which improve the skin youth and vitality by enhancing the collagen production of the body naturally.

If You Live in Phoenix Carpet Cleaning is Something That You May Want to Think About

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

If you live in the Phoenix area than you perhaps think that your carpets are immune to so many of the problems that people in more humid climates have to contend with. The fact is however, that even in Phoenix carpet cleaning is a necessity from time to time, even if your carpets don’t look dirty. Sand and DirtSand and dirt are always an issue and just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean that its not there. Sand and dirt tend to be heavy and will quickly sift and filter down below the carpet and remain siting on the surface of the carpet pad.Mold and Pollen Pollen and mold spores are another carpet issue that will remain unseen to the naked eye. While both of these are seasonal, this doesn’t mean that they haven’t both accumulated in the lower reaches of your carpet and padding. Even minor amounts of mold, pollen and spores can wreak havoc on an individual who suffers from allergies and or asthma.Dust MitesDust mites are still one more problem that you have to be concerned with in Phoenix. Carpet cleaning is the only way to remove them once they have made a home in your place. They are completely invisible to the naked eye but can cause havoc to a person who is even the slightest bit allergic to them.Toxic ChemicalsAlso, what you may not know is that your carpet may contain toxic residue left over from the manufacturing process. Of course even in Phoenix carpet cleaning is the only way to get rid of them. Virtually all carpet cleaning services now use non hypoallergenic cleaners to steam clean carpets, so there is absolutely no risk of any harmful residue from the cleaning process

Optimizing your Choices Instead of Reaching for Perfection

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

Sometimes in looking for perfection, I might make the mistake of looking to hard at only one part of a bigger picture. I might be only looking at one little section of what could be or is a masterpiece of a great panorama. I don’t include other parts of what is or could be in the picture.

Perfection might have the feel of having immediacy for some people. They think they should find perfection right away. This might be the case but it might not. Picture the baseball player walking into the batting cage. It would be expected that they would need some warm-up swings. If they complained to the fellow players about not hitting a home run in their first swing they would often say you just need to warm up. It’s obvious within the sport that this warm-up is needed in many or most cases. But in other situations we expect perfection right away and it isn’t as obvious that we aren’t being realistic about the similar need to warm up.

There might still be an area of near perfection that we can find. This might be similar to an area of excitement. For example, just seeing certain person of the opposite sex brings someone into an area of excitement, this could also be symbolic of an area of near perfection to this individual. Even though overall their relationships with the opposite sex have been lacking, there still remains an area of excitement for them, or an area of near perfection that they can even see. If we do see that area of excitement, we can be hopeful about that and this is an area we could potentially prize as near perfect if we can get to it.

I can look for links within these possible areas of perfection. I find just looking at this particular woman an area of excitement. Then I talk to her, and find her exciting to talk to. There is a link right there.

Links can be links to the contrary position, which oppose perfection. I have been working in the software industry and things have gone sour for me and I am no longer interested in the field. I was never interested in the steel industry so I can link my current disinterest in the software industry with my disinterest in the steel industry which I have never even considered working in and then I can find it easier to put the software industry out to pasture as I link my areas of disinterest together.

What some people see as their flaws and imperfections, are actually characteristics that they would want back if they were taken away and they might even cherish these traits in the final review.

I was getting a haircut and the person cutting the hair, Rocky, was talking about the stock market and how some of the people that play the market are obsessed with checking the changes in the market and individual stocks during the days. Rocky said the he cuts the hair, checks it once and he is finished contrasting to those who are constantly checking their stocks. I told him of an article in the Wall Street Journal about a podiatrist who spend so much of his working day checking on his stocks during the dot.com boom he only half of his normal visitors for his practice that year because he got so distracted by his stock prices. This relates to the idea of perfection. Even if we get it, when can we let go on it and just check it over and reach a conclusion on our efforts. Can I just paint a perfect picture and leave it at that? Or do I keep on painting the Mona Lisa forever? That leaning tower of Piazza that is still leaning.

Things will tend to tilt towards perfection or imperfection. It might be more useful to look at perfection as a tendency rather than something that can actualize or be an actuality in many or most cases. There will be tendencies or movements away or towards perfection. You can actualize certain things but don’t idealize to far and to long on what is not actualizing to the extent that you lose chances to center on other good things.

Make believe that the sun is perfection and the earth moves towards or way from the perfect sun.

In actuality however, for the people on the earth distance of the earth from the sun might be close to perfect in terms of climate. If it were a few million miles closer, it might be much to hot for the earth’s inhabitants. Ironically, the earth might be in the best position or perfect position in relation to the sun as it is now. If the earth was a few million miles closer to the sun, the ocean would be boiling and the surfing conditions wouldn’t be any good.

One of the things to consider in relation to perfection is the idea of defining what you are doing. If you are fishing with the seals near the North Pole, why worry about being the perfect leader of a corporation. If I am playing baseball, why I am concerning myself with the idea of being the perfect goaltender in the NHL? Define what you are doing.

The girl says, I’m going to get in tiptop shape for the summer and I’ll wear a bikini at the beach. She gets into tiptop shape, goes to a desolate beach and there is no one to see her. Implicit in her motivations for getting in tip top shape or close to perfect shape was that she would go to the beach and have an audience. She didn’t position herself correctly in relation to her prior motivations.

We see that while we seek perfection we must also position ourselves in relation to these motivations. This girl got into close to perfect shape but no one was there at the beach to observe her and she wanted an audience for her hard earned efforts towards getting in the best shape possible.

Then how do we position the factors? Look at all the factors you might have. You select a factor and work it to near perfection. Another factor you could have put in place or positioned yourself with was ignored. You might have pressed the wrong buttons or you needed to push the right factors and right buttons. You might have gotten perfection with the factor you choose but you didn’t pick the best factor.

For example, say your primary motivation is to make money in this situation. You work close to perfectly for this company for a year. After this year is up, you say you made 100 thousand dollars. But actually, if you push another button, such as being an actor or professional baseball player, both of which you were very capable of doing, the salary for either would have been 1 million dollars. So you actually paid 900,000 dollars for your choice. The one million you should have made minus the 100,000 you did make.

Another issue is that I have mixed motives, I have some more perfect motives and some that I consider selfish. To decipher your motivations you can look at the positions you ultimately want. I look inward and I find that my motivations towards women are from a playboy mentality. I hesitate in this area because I realize I have mixed motivations. But then I find myself on a trip abroad to a scenic location and realize I wished I had positioned this trip to where I had a traveling companion who was female to keep me company and share the enjoyment of the good scenery with. Within my possible positioning that might be had, I can see that there are other motivations at play that deal with wanted perfection. To have the perfect trip, I really do feel I need the companionship of women. Despite my mixed motivations that I have about women because I tend to objectify into being a playboy, from this position I realize that I can decipher other motivations that are at work or could become operative as well.

Another example is I want to write the perfect novel. I think this is the perfect situation. I also want this to be a best seller for the purposes of making me rich. I call this an imperfect motivation. Do I let this imperfect motivation cancel all my efforts or at least let it cast a shadow on what I want to do. I look at these motivations, some are more perfect and some are less perfect.

But separate from this, where do I want to position myself. Like the girl who got in tip top shape for mixed motives, one of which was to show off at the beach, I still need to consider where I want to position myself. She went to the desolate beach and never properly positioned herself for the audience she hoped for. If she had positioned herself for the crowded beach, she could have reviewed her original motivations of having an audience then in relation to the actual hoped for position and then she could have gotten a more valid view of how mixed her motivations were and whether some of them in fact had links to wanted perfections. I see my motives are mixed, but I still want to position myself as well as possible despite the uncertainties of having mixed motivations that aren’t fully separated out. I may want the situation to meet with several motivations. As I consider how to best position myself, should I let what I feel is imperfect cancel out all perfection, or in fact everything else. I have a better chance of catching the perfect wave if I’m actually at the beach and being in position by the water waiting with my surfboard rather than at home on the couch. So often I have to position myself close to the situation I want to break into anything that might be near perfection. Patience is important but I might be waiting so long that I’ll fall asleep on the watch and perfection will sail right by. I need to position myself for the gold, if that’s what I want.

Then say for example you are trying to work a situation perfectly and it is sliding in the other direction. You are paying a price that is only getting higher. Your continuing efforts are being cancelled out. If your goal is perfection, it might only get worse and you will be in fact further from perfection and pay a heavier price as time goes on. Forge ahead in something you are not enjoying and you will probably just get more of the same. It might be better to first and foremost find the bail out position as the price you pay to do that will be worth it.

Another case might be that you are in a good situation, you are working it close to perfectly, but other things and other pursuits that you value are sliding in the other direction. Your pursuit of perfection in this one area even though it is going very well seems to have the cost of not properly attending to other interests, which are also important to you right now. You could set your lights with a wider beam. You had chosen to focus a certain way, but realize the way you are focusing is at least in part a product of your choosing. You could also dim your lights if need be to avoid the all or nothing mentality. You don’t have to turn off completely if you don’t find perfection.

Perfection also relates to likes and dislikes. When we refer to likes and dislikes, we can go over some of the particulars. I like the design of the boat, I like the speed of the boat, I like the viewing panel of the boat. We can refer to the particulars especially if we can’t seem to get a handle of the global scene of what we are dealing with. Those splendid corals of the sea have a particular fancy for me.

The particulars could also be negative in terms of my likes. How is this going to be a perfect job when I don’t even like a file, this file or any file that I’m dealing with?

In fact, I might be lucky if I can bring any positive frame to a given situation. The situation or circumstance has negative elements, connotations, or even outright chaos. The question is how can there be a positive frame to this, never mind even thinking of a perfect frame.

You could win, win, win, and win. But if you don’t mind what season you are in, you might not capture the new era. And you lose out that way. A company can finally capture that market that has now faded in nostalgia.

Perfection identifies or helps identify a path I wish to take. The concept of perfection works as an identifier. It can be associated with exactness. If I get perfection, I am getting exactly what I want. However, if perfection means exactness to me, I put additional pressure on myself to find exactness in situations and circumstances. The exactness I want or expect might not appear and then I am lost. That search for exactness leaves me feeling lost, like I am looking for a needle in a haystack.

Who’s driving, you or perfection? Perfection might be outright driving for you or in might be a backseat driver telling you what to do. In the meantime you are trying to drive through outright chaos and perfectionist idealisms are yapping away at you. Then you feel you can’t stop for something the is tainted or even touched with imperfection but might serve your purpose in some agreeable way.

The search for perfection can end up being fueled by desperation. I am looking for a woman with a perfect head of hair, and everyone I am meeting has at least one strand out of place. If I lowered my expectations to someone with a very good hairstyle and maybe a strand or two out of place, I might feel less desperate about my search.

Another pitfall to a blanketing search for perfection is not having a watchful eye towards what is important, what is more important and what is most important. For example, you read a long article in the newspaper or an informative article or book on a given subject. At times, you might want to extract what is most important and then worry about a perfect read as a secondary factor. The same is true in a given situation, you are in a work situation and the more important thing might not be the job in front of you at this very second but the person in front of you who could form into a great long term contact on several levels. What I what to extract from the surrounding circumstances of the moment is also quite important.

By focusing on overall perfection, you might be doing it at the expense of the hierarchy of what is going to be more important for you. You could compromise the ability to extract what’s most important for the given scenario by totally focusing on wanted perfection.

What we want to do is maybe look for the mark of perfection but no matter what don’t put that mark on ourselves. Try to paint the car a perfect red and leave the mark of perfection on the object of the car but don’t mark yourself as the perfect painter of cars, in other worlds, don’t personify perfection in relation to a task that you would prefer to do rather perfectly. A mark now boomeranging with ourselves becomes a burden that is like that pair of clothes we can’t change or a hat we have to keep wearing. Be a task master but don’t personify it to you. So whatever you are trying to do perfectly don’t mark yourself as someone who is perfect in doing this. You can travel lighter and switch modes easier if you don’t have to live up to some perfectionist standard that you have marked yourself as having and while you can try to do this perfectly, never say you are the perfect doer of this.

Why does perfection always seem to play the part of the heavy? Maybe perfection is found also in the lighter approach or on the lighter side of things if we are going to equivocate on perfection.

One of the ways of checking of what might have been perfect is looking back with the retrospective view. I have the benefit of looking back and referring to my memory. What was most memorable for me in the past and what relationship do these memories have with the idea of perfection? Maybe what was most memorable for you was a moment. Or it might involve a trip with great scenery and in the meantime you did your job almost perfectly all year and it for some reason doesn’t seem that memorable for you. It may be that something I felt I did close to perfectly was most memorable but it my also be that something else that didn’t involve the pursuit of perfection was most memorable.

Within the pursuit of perfection, I can also see if I am being reasonable. The idea of perfection may or may be reasonable. If I am not the perfect person, then why am I looking for perfect people? I could ask, is this wanted perfection reasonable to even my interests? I take my interests, put them on a platform and see them as viable interests whether they involve actual perfection or not. I am first deriving from interests rather than anything else and if interests take me to the idea of perfection, I still don’t want an or any idea about my interests to ultimately usurp my interests or take over for my interests as these interests is what I am deriving off of in the first place. The perfection I strive towards might not be that enduring even if I can get close to it. It might not be sustainable in any case. It might appear briefly only to leave again. I can adjust my view of myself to see what actually gets me going. I might view myself as a very good and almost perfect golfer or a very good and not so perfect golfer but which view is actually going to get me on the golf course in the first place? Sometimes viewing yourself as an imperfect golfer might seem a bit lighter to the situation and you might be more likely to play the game than if you view yourself as someone who should be putting up professional numbers but your not even close to that so you don’t bother at all with the game. Try to obtain a more reasonable view of the situation. Often the more reasonable view gets you to more obtainable approaches and outlooks. I am looking to be in any way reasonable if I try to pitch a perfect game against the Yankees or any team in the major leagues when there have been less than 20 games in the history of major league baseball that have been pitched perfectly. Be reasonable to what is involved in the given situation, don’t say I want to enjoy a swim but I don’t want to get wet while doing it.

Then perfection might seem to require an absolute focus. This hard focus may not always run in tandem with some other ideas that might be helpful. A soft focus might be better.

If I am having trouble in my pursuits, I might want to introduce variety into the situation. I could say no matter what I will induce variety in my schedule as in the long run I will need this. If things aren’t going well, the tendency might be to compromise variety and double up on specific efforts that I know I can concentrate on, but that concentration doesn’t always save the day. But what happens is I might forego some things that get pushed out of the picture until I obtain wanted perfection. I will not play golf until I get that good job. I might find that good job years later, I haven’t played golf in years where if I had stuck with the variety idea under all circumstances, I could justify going golfing occasionally as something different and a valid variation from my routine and my singular walk towards perfection in a given area.

Another difficulty I might encounter is that if I make a mistake, a significant blunder in my pursuits, if I had been expecting perfection I might just stop right there. If I think I’m a perfect golfer and I double bogey the first hole, I might give up right there and walk off the course. I might be so bothered by the mistake that I focus on the mistake at the expense of continuing. The mistake is so counter to perfection, that I get discouraged and stop right there. The challenge might then be to keep perfection as an idea or ideal, but if I am finding real obstacles, I need to adjust my thinking so I can find a way to keep going despite my failures or shortfalls around me or that I encounter within myself or if I do find I am able to readjust my thinking for whatever good reasons. My own hesitations for whatever reasons are obstacles in and of themselves. I may keep hesitating and just chance the reason for the hesitation or I get so used to the hesitation process that I just don’t know any other way. Here, I don’t want to introduce ideas of perfection to get me out of hesitating. More than likely, I need to loosen the reigns, allow for some mistakes as long as they aren’t to costly and accept my own inabilities to go forward as a problem where I may need to help myself with gradual changes in my approaches and outlooks rather than leaps forward into the perfect. I can adjust to the mistakes and involve that adjustment into an approach that let’s me go on and forward if I still want to do that. Even if I feel the need to stop and beat myself up for what went wrong, can I recover from the beating enough to where I can go into an adjustment that lets me not make this or that a permanent stop. Self chastisment does happen but you don’t have to make that a never ending process as well as you even try to do that perfectly or keep at it until you get better at that as well.

Sometimes people in the pursuit of perfection either want it all or the gold or they say they will or might as well finish last. An example of that was in the Olympic ski jumps which involved flips this past winter Olympics. The American skier was winning after the first round but a competitor did some never done before twists in the competition. He had one of the 3 or 4 highest scores ever in the second round. The American went last and tried for an equivalent jump in terms of difficulty. He said he would either go for the gold or finish last and he ended up finishing last. He could have had the mindset of just trying for the Bronze and Silver and just tried to land a very good jump but his choice was at the far ends of the presenting spectrum.

What happens is that sometimes we tend to look for perfection and if we don’t find it we place ourselves in last place or place outselves out of contention. But even with the imperfection, we are often unrealistic in placing ourselves last. Just because we aren’t first, doesn’t mean we are last. If I don’t win the gold, it doesn’t mean I’m still not very good.

I’m prejudiced toward vanilla ice cream. That doesn’t make it the perfect ice cream. Your prejudices don’t necessarily equate to perfection.

Perfection could represent a range. A perfect weight for you could be 180 pounds or a perfect weight could range from 175 to 185 pounds. A weight in that range will tip the scales for you into perfection. If you go into that range you have converged into perfection, if your weight goes outside of that range you have diverged from perfection. What you want is a more malleable concept or idea of perfection if we are going to work with perfection at all, meaning that you can range into certain areas, and it is a range that you are looking for.

Optimal is the best or best I can do, which may not be perfect. Optimal and perfection might be interchangeable, but not necessarily or totally. Optimal tends to be situational. In any situation there can be the optimal, while in some situations I can’t get perfection no matter what.

In many situations, there is nothing beyond optimal. For example, I am on a sailing expedition along the coast. Suddenly something happens that sinks the boat, I give a quick distress signal, before I’m overboard. The optimal thing I can do is either wait for a hoped for rescue or swim to the shore. I am not going to get a perfect afternoon sailing now. Imperfection has been introduced into the situation. The best I can do is safely get to the shore now. There is nothing left anymore for me in this situation beyond the optimal. I seek to adjust to perfection only if I can actually do so. Perfection might not be present. I can have the optimal outlook for a situation. If I’m dating, I could look for the optimal person rather than the perfect person. After all, I’m not perfect myself. By saying optimal, I am giving myself different symbolism. Being an optimist gives me more options. Being optimistic ironically could involve lowering my sights to include more of the possibilities. What I am aiming for can be adjusted to less than or some other potentially accurate guess on what could be closer to perfect.

I can expand my roster of opportunities. If I can handle imperfection, I might have more opportunities to look at and consider and options to consider if I can allow for possibly choosing into the less than perfect. Every single pointer might not be within the concept of perfection. You might be pointing towards doing something that is less than perfect. I can still proceed regardless of what the pointers are saying. I can try for the necessary adjustments to the changes, which are often in front of me before I brush them aside sometimes making believe that they were never there in the first place. I might find myself on a somewhat different trend line. Can I bring perfection into sight rather than maintaining my shy away positions? I think by expecting the perfect, I’ll find it but expectations can’t always see into or sail into perfection’s waters either.

You want to enjoy where you are now, even if it’s less than perfect. Your in this stretch of coast, you might as well enjoy it as this is the boat I’m in, this is the coastline I’m on and I will start to enjoy some of it. You want to use what you have which might not reach towards perfections mandates. I can’t always have everything or the perfection I wanted or in the way I wanted it. Perfection can be a controlling concept. I want the control of perfection in this situation. If its perfect, I think it means it presents some sort of handle. But what does getting a handle on things have to do with perfection in many cases?

Imperfection can exist side by side with perfection thereby giving you more options. I might be filtering my course through a belief system that demands something like perfection therefore I might not believe and see some real options or opportunities that might bring me some happiness yet don’t outright contradict my belief system however pollinated it is with perfections.

I had been controlling for perfection only. I can make some of my beliefs accessible to imperfection and free up some of my thinking. I can have freeing beliefs that don’t enslave me to perfection and maybe even keep my perfectionist beliefs but also give credence to beliefs that don’t quite meet with perfection as I understand it to be. This gives me more of a chance to work with partial views because ironically even if the situation is perfect I might not always see it that way. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing, either a perfect view or no view. I don’t have to be held to one section of coast that I perceive as perfect. I can rearrange my ideals and beliefs to encompass more than just the perfection I seek. I don’t have to be bound to perfection only in my overall set of beliefs and the boundaries I have formed around the beliefs. Otherwise, perfection could have the effect of isolating me from some of my real interests that I can’t quite quality as perfect but indeed they do qualify as real.

I can section off my attempts at perfection. I will keep this section of the beach for perfection but I will also allow myself to go to other sections of the beach where I can be imperfect. I can get A in school but only B’s in my personal readings as I don’t need to follow strict standards in everything I’m doing.

I can give myself partial credit as well. My goal is a 10 mile hike and I only hike 8 miles, falling short of my goal and now I’m imperfect in meeting my goals. I can still give myself partial credit for the 8 miles I did walk. And then I could even change my original goal in freedom to 8 miles and then I have full credit for the 8 miles or say I walked 8 miles into my goal and therefore I did venture into even though I didn’t fully venture into my goals rather than the usual veering away from goals.

There are some scenarios where I just want to get out of the situation. The key is just to get away. I do need to escape from this situation outright. There and then I might disagree with something at it foundations. Or I could never agree to this in principle. Then why set myself up to pursue this perfectly, to go all out, when I don’t even agree to this to start with? Maybe as I search, my starting points could be what could ever be agreeable to me. I could be the arguer of the perfect case for the wrong side as a lawyer. Which side is perfection on anyway? But the ability to argue swiftly is also a positive trait if I am arguing. So what is a positive trait depending on the if of what I am doing?

But then we argue with ourselves. Maybe argue with yourself taking the other point of view, seeing all sides even that once long away sighted optimistic side which seems so distant.

The keynote speaker for perfection may not have hit every note so I can’t follow or even get every good lead out there. Our loyalty for perfection is beyond what perfection has done for us as you can asks, what has this pursuit, this tradition, this corporation, this foundation, this educational pursuit ever done for me? When have you gotten that chance to dance with perfection anyway?

Looking at things through the view of the perfectionist is like looking into scope of a small lens, it might be like peering through a keyhole, when there is a whole world wide window to view things through, a panoramic view or a last an other view. And this panoramic view works both ways, how much wider and higher is this window of reality which we are going to let in from the outside or look at from the inside. A friend of mine said, now that he is older the window of girls he will look at is wide and high, then when he was 20 he only would have the shallow view or narrow view of looking for a certain model type. His idea of perfection might have been wrong even then, to his own loss then. The view of perfection as the standard might not be the for what it is the reachable realm, the finding of an actual available viewpoint, and the only existing approaches that will get us started or begin to get us going. I can scan the imperfect field perfectly with my naked eyes, by the way I notice a slight imperfection in your walk. If for example, I am in need of some nourishment such as a meal, what is the available viewpoint? Is the viewpoint that I fast the next two days really available to me? There are only so many truly available viewpoints in the moment. I am wading in shallow seas and I see a tidal wave approaching. What is the available viewpoint? I can stand where I am and get that view, but it realistically is not available as a life affirming viewpoint.

Look Good Naked: Glute Training

How to Look Good Naked Part II : Developing the GlutesThis article on glute training was originally written for AskMen.com, however the information is 100% relevant for members of both sexes who want to tone, tighten and develop “winning glutes”! Of course, “winning glutes” may mean different things to different people, so at the risk of sounding like something from Cosmopolitan magazine let us agree that it means rounder, firmer, and perkier!I sometimes wonder whether we should rename AskMen as AskWoman. After all in our male quest to be buff, and as the saying goes “look good naked”, our very first port of call should be to ask women what it is that they find physically attractive in a man. Sure, some of them will drip on about nice eyes, but that’s fairly useless to us as it’s largely something you are born with and thus beyond our control (unless the metrosexual in you goes down the highly questionable coloured contact lense route), and let’s face it only nice girls go for the eyes, and we all should want a bad girl at least once in our lives! Maybe more, but best not to let my own personal peccadilloes dominate this article. And what do most bad girls want? A recent informal survey conducted at my personal training gym came out with a 92% vote in favour of a “nice tight butt”. In plain, business-like English that means a round, firm set of glutes that lifts out a pair of jeans from the rear. In other words, not a wide ass, and not a flat ass! Go on, crane you head around in the mirror and take a look at your own rear end. The chances are that your own glutes / butt could do with some improving. The rest of what is to follow will tell you how, and if you take my advice and stay disciplined for the next month should result in a trail of admiring glances following you whenever you decide to strut your stuff walking down the street!Anatomy of the GlutesThe glutes comprise of three muscles that make up the overall “gluteals” – gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, and gluteus minimus. Although all three muscles are important to proper athletic balance and function our primary goal should be to stimulate hypertrophy (muscular growth) of the gluteus maximus muscle, one of the strongest and largest muscles on the human body. It is the uppermost of the three gluteal muscles and therefore the one responsible for the “lifting” effect of the perky derriere on both men and women.Glute Training ExplainedThere are generally two main difficulties associated with effective glute training. Firstly, given the size and strength of the muscles involved it is just plain hard work. A few tight butt clenches just won’t cut it – you need to shift decent weights for deep movements that activate all the targeted muscle fibres (more on this in the next section). Secondly, just as with training the upper back, glute training can be hampered by the very fact that you can’t actually see what you are supposed to be exercising. I’ll give you a brief lesson in how this works. Go ahead and contract your bicep. A tenner says that you looked down at your bicep whilst you squeezed it. Quite simply it is far easier to contract a muscle that you can see. Effective posterior chain training (nit just the glutes but also the hamstrings and back muscles) takes practice to develop that all important “mind-muscle” connection.Glute Training WorkoutI am very much a believer in the Law of Specificity – you get what you train for. So in order to achieve the best results with your glute training, or any other body part specialisation plan, you must focus all of your energies on that one thing and not get caught up with any other distraction. Perform the following workout by itself twice per week (best would be on a Monday and a Friday), and the only other resistance training that you undertake should be an upper body workout every five days. Do this for a month and both your legs and your glutes will be rounder, firmer and draw admiring glances from afar!Perform giant sets (do one exercise after the other) with no rest between exercises, resting 3 minutes after the last exercise (cable pull throughs) before beginning again. Complete a total of 3 or 3 giant sets depending upon your training age and how much guts you have for hard work and pain!1. Step Ups / 15 reps each leg / tempo 20X0Step up onto a regular flat bench. Perform 15 reps per leg, exercising one leg at a time. If 15 reps are easy then be a man and add some weight.2. Romanian Deadlifts / 12 reps / tempo 4010Grasp a loaded barbell with a medium width grip and bend forward at the waist. Bend your knees slightly and then keep them stiff, push the hips back and always maintain a straight or slightly arched lower back. Do NOT round your lower back at all! Keeping the bar as close to your body as possible, you should be able to take the bar down to mid shin level only until you can’t stretch anymore without losing form. Then stand up straight and tighten the glutes and lower back. That’s one rep, eleven more to go.3. Lunges / 15 reps each leg / tempo 2010You should all know how to perform lunges by now. Fifteen reps, one leg at a time. Again, you must add weight as and when you hit the prescribed repetition goal.4. Cable Pull Throughs / 10 reps / tempo 4011This exercise does take a bit of a knack to get the hang of, so rather than jump straight into it I’d advise you to spend 10 minutes warming up on it and becoming familiar and comfortable with the movement. Slightly bend your knees, and with your feet wider than shoulder width apart, face away from a low cable pulley and take an overhand, two-handed grip on a rope handle. Ensure that your lower back is arched and your shoulders are back at all times, and then simply pull the rope handle through your legs until you are stood upright with glutes squeezed together in a hard contraction. Please note that tempo denotes the speed with which you must perform each stage of the exercise movement. So “4010″ means 4 seconds down (negative), 0 seconds pause at the bottom of the movement, 1 second up (positive), 0 seconds pause at the top of the movement. With the step ups, where I have written “X” this stands for “explosive” – so go up as quickly as you possibly can.A word on nutrition for the glutesNobody wants to be a fat arse, and no matter how developed your gluteal muscles are they will always look like saggy and wobbly without the necessary low body fat. For a man anything over 14% body fat is a wide arse, so make sure that you are reasonably lean and stay away from the refined carbs! We have some great articles on how to use BioSignature Modulation to control your body fat levels. I highly recommend that some of you chubsters out there have a good read of them, as well as visiting the main BioSignature Modulation services page.Glute Training ConclusionThis is a killer glute workout that will also fry your quads and hamstrings and leave you so sore that you will curse my name every time you are forced to park your butt on anything other than the softest of cushions. However, just when you will have gotten sick and tired of cursing “Mitchell, the pain in the ass” you will change your tune as the muscular gains this programme always unleashes are well worth the effort and sacrifice. Just don’t blame me when you have to invest in a whole new set of jeans and trousers!

This equipment hasthe advanced figure, reasonable overall arrangement, good craft and convenienceoperation. border=0> Horizontal Rotation Flat Tab For the opera based on the story, see What Men Live By (opera).Wikisource has original text related to this article: What Men Live ByWhat Men Live By is a short story written by Russian author Leo Tolstoy in 1885. It is one of the short stories included in his collaboration called What Men Live By, and other tales published in 1885. The collaboration also included the written pieces The Three Questions, The Coffee-House of Surat, and How Much Land Does a Man Need?.The story is referenced in Solzhenitsyn’s Cancer Ward.PlotA humble shoemaker called Simon goes out one day to purchase sheep-skins in order to sew a winter coat for his wife and himself to share. Usually the little money which Simon earned would be spent to feed his wife and children. Simon decided that in order to afford the skins he must go on a collection to receive the five roubles and twenty kopeks owed to him by his customers. As he heads out to collect the money he also borrows a three-rouble note from his wife’s money box. While going on his collection he only manages to receive twenty kopeks rather than the full amount. Feeling disheartened by this Simon rashly spends the twenty kopeks on vodka and starts to head back home.On his way home he rants to himself about the little he can do with twenty kopeks besides spend it on alcohol and that the winter cold is bearable without a sheep-skin coat. While approaching a holy shrine, Simon stops and notices something pale looking leaning against it. He peers harder and distinguishes that it is a naked man who appears poor of health. At first he is suspicious and fears that the man has no good intentions if he is left in such a state. He proceeds to pass the man until he feels that for a second the man lifted his head and looked toward him. Simon debates what to do in his mind and feels shameful for his disregard and heads back to help the man.Simon gives the articles of clothing he can and wraps around the stranger. He aids him as they both walk toward Simon’s home. Though they walk together side by side, the stranger barely speaks and when Simon asks how he was left in that situation the only answers the man would give was: “I may not tell” and “God has punished me.” Meanwhile Simon’s wife Matrena debates whether or not to bake more bread for the night’s meal so that there is enough for the following morning’s breakfast. She decides that the loaf of bread that they have left would be ample enough to last till the following morning. As she sees Simon approaching the door she is angered to see him with a strange man who is wrapped in Simon’s clothing.Matrena immediately expresses her displeasure with Simon, accusing him and his strange companions to be drunkards and harassing Simon for not returning with the sheep-skin needed to make a new coat. Once the tension settles down she bids that the stranger sits down and has dinner with them. After seeing the stranger take bites at the bread she placed for him on his plate, she began to felt pity and showed so in her face. When the stranger noticed this his grim expression lit up immediately and he smiled for one brief moment. After hearing the story from the stranger how Simon had kindly robed the stranger after seeing him in his naked state Matrena grabbed more of their old clothing and gave it to Simon. The following morning Simon addresses the stranger and asks his name. The stranger answers that his name is simply Michael. Simon explains to Michael that he can stay in his household as long as he can earn his keep by acting as an assistant for Simon in his shoemaking business. Michael agrees to these terms and for a long period of time remains a very faithful assistant. One day a customer who was a nobleman came in their shop. The nobleman outlined strict conditions for the construction of a pair of thick leather boots will not lose its shapes or become loose at the seams for a year or else he would have Simon arrested. When Simon gave the leather that the nobleman had given them to use to Michael, Michael appears to stare beyond the nobleman’s shoulder and smiled for the second time since he had been there. As Michael sews the leather to construct the boots he does so in a fashion that makes them soft leather slippers rather than thick leather boats. Simon is too late when he notices this and cries to Michael asking why he would do such a foolish thing. Shortly later a messenger arrives at their door and gives the news that the nobleman has died and if they could change the order to slippers for him to wear on his death bed. Simon is astounded by this and watches as Michael gives the messenger the pre-made leather slippers. Time continues to go by and Simon is very grateful for Michael’s faithful assistance. One day another customer comes in who happens to be a woman with two girls, one of which was crippled. The woman requested if she could order a pair of…(and so on) To get More information , you can visit some products about travertine table, folding coffee table, . INTRODUCTION

Education, is a modern word, which is derived from the Latin word ‘educase’, means to nourish, to cause to grow (Patel: 1991 : viii). Education also prevails in illiterate societies, where it is imparted orally and by mass behavior. A member of primitive society learns to earn his livelihood, to do good works, to obey spiritual beings and also superstitions etc from the elders of the society and bind by its laws and regulations. These are the education for them. We the modern people do mean “education as reading and writing. This is also true. By modern education a person can able to increase his knowledge and expand his vision and avail the fruits or development. Hence modern education can play the role of “Catalyst” in bringing sea changes in the sphere of social, political, economic fields. One of the important reasons for failure of development activities in the society by various developmental agendas is the prevalence of acute illiteracy and ignorance, combined with superstitions among the rural masses. Hence to ward off economic backwardness, social deprivation spreading of education is regarded as one of the most effective and forward-looking instruments (Patel: 1991:26). Another reason of failure of education is superstition among the tribal. Superstitions like “reading would make their eyes drop out of their sockets” etc. is also responsible for not spreading of education, so no remarkable progress could be achieved within next 10 years (Behera : 1984:76). Accordingly O.J. Millman, a Baptist Missionary set up a school in 1914 at Gudripadi near G.Udayagiri (Boal : 1963: 61). As Government experienced, acute caste discrimination prevailing among the students as well as parents, the Govt. was forced to set up separate schools for ST and SC students. Lord Dalhousie, the then Viceroy of British India appointed Mr. Charles Wood who was the Chairman of Board of Controll on 19th July 1853 to review the progress of education in India and to suggest way-out for its improvement and to frame new laws and regulations. Accordingly, he had submitted his report in the year 1854, which was known as Woods’ Dispatch. As such post of Director of Public Instructions was created in Bombay, Bengal and in Madras presidency

exclusively to look after development of education. As suggested in Wood’s Dispatch, the medium of instruction should be in mother language. Another Commission was also set up for reformation and development of education in the year 1882, known as Hunter Commission. Lord Curzon organized an all India conference in the year 1901 at Simla to review the progress and to find out faults in education, which was the first conference in India in the history of education. The proceedings of the said conference were published in 1904, which was known as Curzon’s Proclamation. That proclamation was an important document where emphasis was given regarding Syllabus, appointment of teachers and monetary assistance to schools and the importance of the provincial Governments to promote mass education. Administrative reformation law by Montague Chelmsford was published in the year 1919, where complete responsibility was laid down for education on provincial Governments. Hence Education Act of Madras Presidency was framed in 1920. Accordingly financial assistance was provided with to schools regularly and special responsibility was also given to District Boards and Local Boards. Again Hartog Commission was set up in 1929 where emphasis was given to promote mass education and to eradicate wastage and stagnation problem Christian Missionaries also took an important role for development of education in backward classes of this district.  Missionaries also created awareness among the tribal towards education. Schools were also set up for ST and SC students by tribal Welfare department of Government after independence.  Secondly, ignorance and superstitions play a major set back for spread of education in the district. People of the remote area are superstitious and addicted to blind beliefs. So they do not understand the value of education. Thirdly, a vital reason for the drop out problem of tribal students is their prevailing cultural process and life style, which hardly creates conducive environment for spreading of education.

The poverty of tribal people doesn’t permit them to keep clean their home environment. They don’t get nutritious food. So tribal children often fall ill. The parents could not treat them timely due to economic scarcity. So they suffer for a long period. During suffering the child remains absent from school and after recovering from illness he loses his appetite for study. However there are few other reasons, which may also be responsible for drop-out

The tribal are the children of nature and their lifestyle is conditioned by the eco-system. India due to its diverse ecosystems has a wide variety of tribal population. Tribes people constitute 8.14% of the total population of the country, numbering 84.51 million (2001 Census). There are 697 tribes notified by the Central Government under Article 342 of the Indian Constitution with certain tribes being notified in more than one State. More than half the Scheduled Tribe population is concentrated in the States of Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Jharkhandand Gujarat whereas in Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Pondicherry and Chandigarh no community has been notified as a Scheduled Tribe. Due to isolation, unawareness and exploitation tribes in India facing economic and social problems. They live generally in inhospitable terrain   where productivity of soil is low and their hamlets are found in forest areas along with the hill streams., India has the largest concentration of tribal population in the world .A tribe is a group comprising families, alone, or generation having its own customs, occupying a specific geographic territory and being independence of or having little contact with the dominant national society of the country in which they live.. Tribals of our country (India) resides in such a territory, which is marked by the presence of hills, forest, islands, mountains, seacoasts etc. They live in a special geographical territory. That is why, some scholars see tribe as a territorial group. Tribals have to face a number of problems due to their isolated residences situated in remote areas. But they are closely and emotionally related to their lands and forest. There are no communications facilities between the various isolated tribal group as well as between the tribal and the world at large. They accept all outsiders in their territory that create more problem than benefits to the tribal communities.  Due to exploitation from various stakeholders tribals are now facing a lot of problems .For promoting the welfare of schedule tribes and for rising the level of administration of schedules and tribal areas to the state level, Article 275 of the constitution provides grants in aid from consolidated fund of India to states for implementation of developmental programmes. And the article lies down as a Directive Principle of State Policy that the State should promote, with special care, the education and economic interest of the weaker sections.  The 10th Five Year Plan envisages a slightly different approach in Kerala. As far as Tribals development is concerned Tribals own neighborhood groups [Oorukoottams] are formed as basic units for the formulation and implementation of TSP and other Tribals Development Programmes. A new approach and strategies for the sustainable development of tribals in Kerala. In view of this the following suggestions are made. Top most priority should be given to elimination of poverty and reduction of unemployment among the tribals. Majority of the tribal population does not still enjoy the basic standards of Good life. Elimination of poverty requires macro as well as micro strategies. For this there have to be separate component plan for Scheduled Tribes and the disabled including family specific plans for improving quality of life as well as protecting and upgrading the land resources, value addition to the non-timber Forest Produce, high quality education, proper health, social security support etc. No conventional institutional options have to be tried out in the case of education, health, and economic development and so on where NGO’s with good track record could play a positive role. Preservation of tribal culture and fostering of their traditional knowledge have to be ensured hand in hand with their empowerment and all round socio-economic development. The Draft Comprehensive Master Plan prepared by the Government should be implemented in a time bound manner with greater emphasis on the primitive tribal groups with stress on Education; Land based Development, Implementation of Protective measures with added legal support etc. It is commitment of the State Government to distribute land to all landless tribals and to rehabilitate them in a phased manner and to help them to sustain their land. High priority should be given to the construction of Houses, electrification, Drinking Water, Sanitation facilities etc. The future tribal educational programmes would aim at primary and secondary educational facilities to all ST students through Institutions like MRS, centre of excellence, etc. Strengthening of pre-primary education with adequate nutritional care, merit up gradation programmes for equipping the ST students for appearing various Entrance Examinations and Civil Services Examinations, more emphasis on technical education including Information Technology, revision of mess charges on the tribal hostels etc., are major strategies proposed. The priority / thrust areas envisaged for the future Tribal Development are:

. Provision of minimum needs to the poor STs aimed at systematic human resource development so as to enable the youths to seek employment., All landless tribals / marginal farmers among the tribals are to be provided with cultivable land depending on availability and implement sustainable development programmes.; Micro enterprises would be promoted among tribal women through Kudumbashree.; Tribal Sub-Plan programmes will be integrated with anti-poverty sub-plan. ;Socio-Economic development programme for the benefit of poorest of the poor to bring them above poverty line.; Ensuring of high quality education to tribal students.; Pre-primary education and residential education will be strengthened further;. The existing tuition scheme will be modified to cater to the needs of all tribal students; Programmes for assisting dropouts and improving enrolment will be formulated; All Houseless families will be given houses in a phased manner.;. The rate of Scholarships [Lump sum grant / stipend etc] will be revised frequently; The problems of tribal families living within forest areas will be solved in collaboration with forest department.; Health care facilities will be strengthened by improving existing Health Extension Programmes in tribal areas tie-up with Health Department;.  High priority for the completion of pre-metric hostels and improving of their infrastructure facilities and revision of mess charges etc.  Massive awareness and literacy programmes with involvement of NGOs will be organised in the tribal areas; Programmes aimed at improving the brilliance of talented ST students will be formulated and implemented.; Training programmes such as IT Training will be arranged for the tribal students and programmes for ensuring jobs for tribals in the IT sector will be formulated.; The participation of the tribals in the industrial sector, even in the small scale and traditional sector is virtually nil. To change this situation suitable strategies can be formulated, the socio-economic conditions of the communities like Adiya, Paniya, Primitive Tribes, Hill Pulayan, Malapandaram etc., are very pathetic. In view of this specific, exclusive programmes can be chalked out for the development of these communities.,The problems of the families living in tribal rehabilitation projects like Sugandhagiri, Pookot Dairy Project, Attapady Cooperative farming society etc., will be solved with the participation of these families., It is proposed to give Health Insurance coverage to all backward tribal families in a phased manner., Remoteness is one hurdle, which prevents the overall and comprehensive development of tribals. This eludes the tribals from the infrastructural needs such as road, drinking water, electrification, hospital facilities, educational facilities etc. A comprehensive plan can be formulated to solve these problems.

.Plan State Schemes

,Schemes for providing better educational facilities to bright ST students., Bharath /Kerala Darshan programme to ST Students, Post -metric hostels for Tribal Students., Training On Information Technology,  Post-Metric Scholarship, Vocational Training Institutes, Award of Research Fellowship in various aspects of Tribal Development, Up gradation of merits of ST students, Special Incentive to Brilliant Students, Repairs and Maintenance of Tribal Hostel., Construction of Hostels for Boys and Girls., Purchase of Land for construction of hostels., Running and construction of 18 Model Residential/Ashram Schools., Grants to High school going SSLC/Plus-2 failed students for studying in tutorial

Methodology

A questionnaire was designed to capture data on various parameters. The data collected for this study by asking question from tribal students, tribal parents and authorities one who responsible for the development of tribal communities.

Sample selection: This study has its focus on students defined as tribal. All students under the “below poverty line (BPL)” family category fell into our focus population. It is not our intention to debate the methodology adopted by the state in defining the tribal.  As the idea of the study is to look at what are the problem faced by tribal students from various stakeholders. This is based on the presumption that the findings would be used

for developing educational status of tribal people. We wanted to base the study in some of the most backward districts in India, the choice of Wayanad was made purposively. The selection of wayanad was driven not only by its general backwardness, but also the geographical backgrounds. Wayanad district stand first in the case of adivasi population (about 36%) among other district in the state.

Design of questionnaire: For collecting data, a detailed questionnaire was designed, with a view to capture education of tribal students.. The base data were the various problems faced by the students regarding their education from within the family and outside the family. Although the questionnaire was not divided into different stages, each question collected specific information.

Objectives: The important objectives of our study are-

1          To understand the problem of tribes students through empirical analysis.

2          To study the problem of students with in the family and outside the family.

3          To provide suggestion to different stake holders for developing tribal education

EDUCATION

The level of education is often viewed as an indicator of the the development of any country. Earlier, the welfare activities in the state for tribals mostly concentrated on educational programmes. Economic development of these communities leading to the creation of substantial assets and ownership of instruments of production through income generating training programmes received attention only from the sixth five-year plan period Traditionally  education has played a conservative role in relation the social process . A large portion of population has not allowed by the upper caste to recive education tribal are not exception to this, therefore the last five decade education became the monopoly of higher caste people. During the British period nothing much was done to improve Indian education system. The development of education during the post independence period has been conditioned by the natural goals and aspiration as enshrined in our constitution. Several committees and commission were formed to increase the educational status of nation. Large number of educational institution were opened in rural and tribal areas for spreading of education among the ST. Compared to the general educational level the status of tribal education is far below A number of schemes and incentives such as scholarship, free residential facilities, free books, and above all reservation of seats in educational institutions were introduced and implemented. These are the facilities provided by the government to ST but their problem still continuing. What is their problem? Is it social or economic or any others…

.. The main reason for the low level of education among tribes is the peculiar nature of their habitations. The social and economic conditions prevailing in the tribal settlements are not conducive for better education. Lack of sufficient educational institutions in tribal areas, poverty, inability to catch the children from pre-primary level, lack of nutritional and health care programmes, poor enrolment and drop out from high education etc., curtain the effective educational development among Scheduled Tribes. Moreover, the parents of the tribal children being generally illiterate cannot insist on their children attending classes regularly. In order to improve education among Scheduled Tribes, the primary efforts should be on eradication of poverty. The parents of the tribal children have to be provided with regular employment for earning income to meet their day-to-day requirements, which will help to send their children to school. Scheduled Tribe students have to be provided with boarding and lodging. Opening of more crèches/ Balwadies/ Nursery Schools, in tribal areas will not only promote early childhood education, but also lessen the burden of elder children in looking after the younger as and when the parents go for work. Lack of teachers in remote areas, general failure of tuition schemes, lack of skill development etc., are certain priority issues in the field of tribal education. A study made by the ST development department revealed that nearly 10% of the tribal habitats are very remote and lack even primary school facility with in a radius of 2 Kms. In fact the position has improved to some extent during the past 9 year’s time. However the school facilities in primitive tribal areas are poor; 71.95% of the PTGs are lacking School facilities within 1 KM area. The state has started multi-learning centres and single teacher schools for improving primary & pre-primary education in remote tribal areas. But the functioning of the Anganwadies in these areas needs further strengthening and proper improvement. In the 10th plan, the tribal educational programmes would aim at primary and secondary educational facilities for all eligible ST students especially those living in remote areas [main objectives is improvement of enrolment rates and arresting of drop out rates] improved facilities for high quality education and research for talented ST  students; centres of Excellence etc., strengthening of pre-primary education with adequate nutritional care, merit up-gradation programmes for equipping the ST students for appearing various entrance examinations and civil services examinations; more emphasis on technical education including Information Technology, restructuring of the present tuition programmes for failed as well as regular ST students. A thorough rejuvenation of tribal hostels necessary by improving the Academic qualification for wardens and cooks etc. High priority will be given for the completion of pre-metric hostels. Scheduled Tribes form one of the most backward sections of our country. Though there has been a gradual increase in their literacy rates since independence, the present position is far from satisfactory. On an average, the difference between the literacy rate of the General category and that of STs has been around 20%. Though it is a fact that literacy rate among tribals has gone up yet the decadal rate of growth of literacy is very slow as compared to the literacy rate of the general population. The literacy rate has increased by 6.78% in the decade 1971-81 and

16.00% during 1981-91 for the general population but in the case of Scheduled Tribes, the literacy rate has risen by 5.05% and 13.25% only for the period 1971-81 and 1981-

91 respectively. The gap between literacy rates of general population and STs has increased from 20% in 1981 to 23% in 1991. The literacy position is more unsatisfactory

in case of ST females, which is only 18.19% as against 39.23% for non SC/ST women

i.e. 8 out of every 10 ST women are illiterate. The difference (about 17%) in drop out rate is almost at the same level for Primary Education for the years 1980-81 and 1988-89, while for Middle Education it is about 14%. For Secondary Education, the drop out has increased from 9% to 11% for Scheduled Tribes as compared to the general population. So the rate of dropouts still remains much higher than the General population. At the Higher Education level, the participation of STs amounts to only 3.9% as against their population percentage of 8.08%. The enrolment ratios of ST girls and boys have continued to show a progressive trend along with the rest of the population. The other revealing factor was the better pace of progress maintained by STs at primary level (43.0%) over SCs (29.7%), especially that of ST girls (49.0%) over SC girls (37.3%) during 1981 to 1996. Above all, the overall progress made by STs in terms of enrolment ratios at primary and middle levels between 1980-81 and 1995-96 has been impressive, and they could be much better than the general population. Like all other sectors of socio-economic life, educationally the tribal people are at different levels of development but on the whole formal education has made very little impact on tribal groups. In the light of the previous efforts it is not shocking because prior to 1950, the Government of India had not direct programme for the education of the tribals. With the adoption of the constitution, the promotion of education of Scheduled Tribes has become a special responsibility of the Central as well as the State Governments. The rate of education among the tribals is not very encouraging.

Factors affecting Tribal Education

Attitude of Other Students: Attitude of other student is one of the important factors for the promotion of tribal student’s higher education ie, environment factor is one of the crucial factors for the development. The negative attitude we can reflected in  university and other higher educational centre mainly located in big cities.

Social Factors: More allocation of funds and opening of schools do not go far in providing education to the tribals. Formal education has not been necessary for the members of tribal societies to discharge their social obligations. Hence they should be prepared to accept education and it should be presented to them in such a way as to cut the barriers of superstition and prejudice. There is still a widespread feeling among the tribals that education makes their

boys defiant and insolent and alienates them from the rest of their society, while the girls

turn modern or go astray. Since some of their educated boys felt alienated and cut off their bonds with their families and villages after getting education and good employment. Some of the tribal groups vehemently oppose the spread of education in their midst. Besides, some of their superstitions and myths also play their part. Some tribal groups believe that their gods shall be angry if they send their children to schools run by ‘outsiders’.

Economic Factors: Some economic factors too are responsible for lack of interest shown by the tribal people in getting education. Since most of the tribal people are living in poverty, it is not easy for most of them to send their children to schools.

Lack of Interest in Formal Education: In many states tribal children are taught through the same books which from the curriculum of non-tribal children of the urban and rural areas of the rest of the state. Obviously, the content of such books rarely appeals to the tribal children who come from different cultural backgrounds. Under the traditional tribal set up a child enters adulthood with confidence. He knows his environment thoroughly, knows how to construct his own house, cultivate his field, weave his cloth; in short he acquires all the skills to lead a reasonably comfortable life within the limitations of his culture. The simple skill of reading and writing acquired in an over formal school is no match for this. We cannot afford to push him back to his environment naked. Therefore, a curriculum should be framed in the welfare of tribal people. Certain tribal activities like agriculture, dancing, hunting, tribal games and archery must be allowed to find fullest expression in the extra-curricular activities of the school, thus providing some continuity of the traditional values and forms of organization. A scheme is to be worked out through which the school children will be able to link up the school and the teacher with their parents and the tribal activities. The school has to act as a centre of dispersal of simple technical know-how beyond the skills of reading and writing to become an effective agent of social change. This student-teacher-parent continuum should be able to generate a congenial atmosphere, so that the broad purpose of education, which is to enable an average citizen to comprehend the social, political, economic and other processes and forces around him, is fully served.

Suitable Teachers: Lack of suitable teachers is one of the major reasons for the slow growth of education in tribal areas. Most of the teachers employed for imparting education to the tribal children show little appreciation of tribal way of life and value system. They approach tribal people with a sense of superiority and treat them as ‘savage and uncivilized’ and hence fail to establish proper rapport with their students. The Scheduled Areas and Scheduled Tribes Commission’s report says that a teacher in the tribal areas must have a thorough knowledge of tribal life and culture. He must speak tribal language. Only so can he be in a position to act as a friend, philosopher and guide to the tribal people. Actually the gulf between teachers and taught can be best reduced by appointing teachers from the tribal community itself or a separate cadre of teachers for tribal areas, with some inducements, should be created to serve the educational needs of the tribal society.

Lack of Facilities: One of the major problems in tribal education is that of language. Most of the tribal languages and dialects are in the most rudimentary stage and there is hardly any written literature. Most of the states impart education to tribal and non-tribal children alike through the medium of the regional language, which makes the education uninteresting and also hurts tribal sentiments.

Nature of habitat: Most of the tribal villages are scattered. This entails long travels to attend schools. Unless the school situated very close to their villages and its site approved by the local people the result shall not be encouraging. School building also plays an important role in the growth of education among the tribal folk. Due to mismanagement, bungling and sometimes financial constraints, the building and sometimes-financial constraints, the building is seldom suitable to run an educational institution.

Number of teachers: Most of the primary schools run in the tribal areas are “Single teacher-managed whose presence in the school is more an exception than a rule”. The enthusiasm of tribal people in the education of their children also depends considerably on the timing of school hours in different seasons. It should not clash with their important socio-economic activities.

To many observers of the situation, the problem of education in tribal areas is the problem of wastage. It is not that wastage and stagnation are peculiar to the tribal communities alone but the extent of wastage is much larger in their case. The problem of

Absenteeism is a serious one in tribal areas. One sees a large number of students on the rolls but the actual attendance is really low, and the number of students passing out at the final examination is even lower. The real problem is to create such economic conditions as could be conducive to the students developing sufficient interest in their studies. Education being the most effective instrument of empowering the Socially Disadvantaged Groups, all out efforts should be made to improve the educational status of these groups, especially that of the women and the Girl Child. In fact, the educational backwardness, prevalent amongst these people, necessitates an added thrust on their education, training and skill up gradation, as it will bring forth not only social empowerment but also economic empowerment.

Environment of family: Surrounding or environments is one of the importance factors influence for the development of a person generally and particularly in educational development. Most of the tribal parents are agricultures and labours; they have little knowledge relating to modern world and modern environment. Their environment narrows that created narrow mentality. And most of tribal fathers are addicts to alcoholic and other beverage items that creating some problem in mentally and economically end result students will fail exams.

Communication: Communication one of the key factor affecting the development of tribal education.  Due to isolation tribal facing problem for expressing modern and regional languages.  For understanding tribal language very difficult generally in the case of society and particularly in teachers. So the students facing problem for discussing their doubt with teachers. So their doubt continuing and automatically tribal students became the last in the class.

Cooperation from Stake Holders: Cooperation is essentials for promoting education in the case of tribal students. Their funds are flowing a number of persons hand and at last that amount will get students hands. The delay of funds creating problem, so the respective authorities need to be responsible for providing funds at right time at right hand.  And at last but not least the success of tribal education is completed only after getting the cooperation and help from their classmates.

Conclusion

Article 46 of the Indian constitution stress to promote the ST and SC people with special care in the educational and economic establishment. The spread of education among the ST during the last four decade has been quite uneven. Ignorant and illiteracy among tribals should be minimized and rooted out, by providing proper education and awareness programme. Government should make available adequate grants for education of tribal. To improve the educational and economic status of the tribal, opportunities for basic and adult education with training leading to better employment should be provided. Hostel facilities to tribal students should be surveyed and improved. Tribal welfare department may design and launch new programmes to generate employment opportunities for tribals. The Director of Employment and Training may provide effective career guidance service to the tribal students so as to help them to make a self assessment of these abilities, aptitudes and plan for the career… Ensuring of high quality education to tribal students. Pre-primary education and residential education will be strengthened further. The existing tuition scheme will be modified to cater to the needs of all tribal students. Programmes for assisting dropouts and improving enrolment will be formulated. All Houseless families will be given houses in a phased manner. The rate of Scholarships [Lump sum grant / stipend etc] will be revised frequently. High priority for the completion of pre-metric hostels and improving of their infrastructure facilities and revision of mess charges etc. Massive awareness and literacy programmes with involvement of NGOs will be organized in the tribal areas. Programmes aimed at improving the brilliance of talented ST students will be formulated and implemented. Training programmes such as IT Training will be arranged for the tribal students and programmes for ensuring jobs for tribals in the IT sector will be formulated. For applying schemes at right time, right place and right manner the government and respective authorities’ cooperation.  And at last but most for developing education in tribal communities the balanced relationship between other students and teachers is essentials

Suggestion

Education is the most effective instrument for ensuring equality of opportunity; keeping in view of this assumption the Government has been making several efforts to education by extending special educational facilities and reservation of seat in educational institutions. But the development of education is one of the important problems in the case of tribals. For solving that problem I like to express some suggestions.

1 Proper awareness campaign should be organized to create the awareness and the importance of education.

2 Educated tribal youth should be recruited as a teacher and posted in tribal areas.

3 The attitude of the tribal parents toward education should be improved through proper counseling and guidance.

4 Teacher buildup and maintain close relationship for the development of tribal students.

5 Vocational institutes should be implemented for the tribal students for creation of new avenues.

6 Administration of incentives need to be streamlined so that the students may avail all the facilities at proper time.

7 Higher level officials should check the functioning of schools frequently relating to the teaching methods, working hours, days of the school and attendance registers.

8 Establish separate residential school for each districts and extended up to PG level.

9 Residential facilities with all amenities should be provided to teachers and other staffs.

10 Merits scholarship, attendance scholarship, and more incentives in the form of grant allocated to uniform, books, learing materials, midday meals, supply of sports equipments.

This book is about the witchcraft events in Salem. The story takes places in a small town called Puritan village. In the beginningof the book Betty, Daughter of Samuel Parris, gets sick. Betty, his father and his niece Abigail live together. Abigail saw his parents murdered by Indians and he is an orphan. One day Betty,Tituba, Abigail and some other girls from town dance in the woods and Parris sees them, she becomes ill after this. There are too much rumors about Betty’s illness. People say that her illness is due to the witchcraft.

Harris asks his niece about what was going on in the forest and he says he admits that they were dancing but it has nothing to do with witchcraft like people say. They also speak about the rumors for example: one of the girls was naked when they were dancing, someone was screaming, and a formal employer Elizabeth Proctor thinks that Abigail is immoral. Abigail denies this. One day Thomas and Ann Putnam arrives to the town and they tell Parris that their daughter Ruth is ill to ask for help. They say they sent her to Tituba (slave of Parris) because they heard that he is able to speak to the dead so that she can find out who murdered her seven children. Nurse Rebecca visits Betty and tells her thatit is nothing serious other than a childish phase. People blames Abigail about this, then all the sudden Abigail blames Tituba saying that Tituba made her and Betty drink blood and that Tituba sends her spirit out. Putnam thinks that Tituba must be hanged.

One day John Proctor comes home a bit late at night because he was planting in the fields. Elizabeth Proctor suspects that he had been in town. A court official, Mary Warren, was also there to discuss about Tituba and Abigail. Elizabeth tells John that she will tell the cops that Abigail admitted that Betty’s sickness has nothing to do with witches. John tells her that nobody is going to believe him because he was alone. Mary Warren tells Proctors that the courd have decided that  39 people will be arrested and Sarah Osburn will be hang but not Sarah Good because she has confessed. John Hale visits Proctors to let them know about the court. He says that Elizabeth’s name was mentioned in the court and Rebecca Nurse was charged of this. he makes Proctor state the ten commandments to be sure that he is not lying. He remembers 9 of them, Elizabeth reminds him the last one. Proctor tells Hale what Abigail admitted about Parris in the woods. Hale thinks it makes no sense. Hale asks Proctor whether he believes in witchcraft or not. He says he does believe but not the fake ones like in Salem.

Ezekiel Cheever arrives to arrest Elizabeth on the charge that she sent her spirit out for Abigail and put a needle in her. Cheever finds the doll, which has a needle on it, but Mary Warren says that she made the doll on the day of the court , even though Abigail saw her making it.John Proctor goes to the court with Mary Warren and shows a deposition signed by Mary that asserts that she had never seen any spirits. Parris knows that they are there to overthrow the court, but still Danforth questions if Proctor has any ulterior motive and tells Proctor that his wife is pregnant and which means that she will live at least one more year, even if convicted. When Putnam goes to the court Giles Corey blames him being the murderer. They have long discussions in the court. Marshal Herrick arrives drunk to the jail and wakes Sarah Good and Tituba up. They speak about the witchcraft events. Parris arrives and tells Danforth how Abigail vanished with Mercy Lewis and stole his money. Danforth calls Elizabeth Proctor and Hale tells her that he

does not want Proctor to die because he would feel responsible for the murder. Elizabeth thinks that this may be the Devil’s argument. Hale begs Elizabeth for Proctor to sign a confess but Elizabeth says that Proctor now has his goodness, and nobody should take it away from him.

Review:

The book was pretty exciting especially at the beginning. I liked reading this book because it is very realistic. We see how people blame each other in front of the court. I had some confusions with the characters because there were over 20 characters in the book. In this book we realize how people in old days lived and how different the life was back then. I realized weaknesses each of the characters in the book. Each of them had weird characters, none of them cared whether the person is their best friend or best enemy they suspected each other to get rid of the court. In overall the book is fascinating because it is because of it’s content. the speech is, as it was in that time.it tells a tale of a little girl who gets caught being “naughty” and blames it on the circumstances of those she doesn’t like or has problems with.

I think the main thing that this book teaches that to lie about something that is very small might make it much bigger  and much more complicated to deal with. We reliaze that how narrow minded and uneducated the Puritans were.

I think although Abigail and the girls initiate the tragedy, responsibility lies with the whole Salem community. I believe that Abigail and the other girls started the tragedy what with all their talk about spirits during the first act. For one reason it can be said that the blame lies with the whole Salem community. In my opinion, if people get hurt and the whole community falls apart then it is a tragedy. I think this book is a tragedic book Many different emotions and different characters are in the play and each one holds part of the blame about the witches it causes people to turn against each other and all the principles that these people  once believed in.

Abigail and the other girls deny everything. Part of their denial is blaming. By shifting the blame on someone else, they think that they will not be responsable for their own sins so these girls are the main ones that messed up everything in Salem. Everybody in Salem wants the whole tragedy to end almost everyone in the community had a way of making the tragedy continue on longer than it needed to be because they likes gossiping and watch people punished. Bu still Salem witchcraft trials will never be forgotten, fortunately now the facts are understood and people in Salem lived happily uptodate.
